LARRY HOUGH, OWNER
Larry got his start in HVAC in the late 80’s, working for his stepfather, Mike Goodson’s company, Master Mechanical. He spent many years in Florida following Hurricane Andrew, helping to restore HVAC systems to residential and commercial buildings that had been devastated by the storm. Upon his return to Texas, he continued working for Master Mechanical for several years, eventually assuming management of the company when Mike retired. In 2019, building off the long-term customer base he had established over the years, he decided to start his own company, and Velocity Air A/C & Heating was born! Along with his son, Stefin, Larry is proud to carry on the family business and tradition of offering meticulous attention to detail and unparalleled service to the Greater Houston area.
Larry lives in the Spring/Woodlands area with his wife and two kids. He is an avid sports enthusiast, supporting all Houston teams. Larry attended Sam Houston State University, where he was a member of the Pi Kappa Alpha fraternity.
STEFIN HOUGH, SALES & OPERATIONS DIRECTOR
Stefin grew up immersed in the HVAC world, watching both his father, Larry, and grandfather, Mike, run successful businesses. Stefin began working alongside his dad as a teenager, and quickly displayed an aptitude for all things technical. His passion for engineering and design have helped Velocity Air take on bigger and more complex projects while still maintaining the highest level of customer service. He strives to bring the best whole-home design and comfort experience to every one of our customers.
JOHN BAXTER, SALES & OPERATIONS MANAGER
John is the newest member of the Velocity Air leadership team, having joined us in July 2024. John brings over 10 years’ experience in the HVAC industry as a sales and operations leader. He is known for his finely tuned troubleshooting skills and experience with installing many different brands of HVAC systems. John is a dedicated husband and father who enjoys doing anything outdoors with his wife and two children. With John’s help, Velocity Air is committed to expanding our footprint in the Greater Houston area.
